Getting an idea of the scope of the diocese can sometimes be aided by seeing the numbers. Rather than including long reports, we are going to give a brief snapshot with links to more detailed information. An excellent report was produced in 2007 that gives a great perspective on our Diocese. This report can be found at: Episcopal Diocese of Western New York - State of the Diocese The Episcopal Church is overwhelmingly a denomination of small churches. The same is true in the Diocese of Western New York. In 2007, 48 had an Average Sunday Attendance (ASA) of under 80, and only 29 were served by full-time clergy.
